
Dr. Deborah Taylor-King
International President of the Connectional Women’s Missionary
Dr. King is a lifelong member of Grant AME Worship Center in Austin and became involved with the WMS at an early age as a member of its Young People Division (YPD). As an adult, she has served the WMS as a Local President, Area Chairperson, Conference and District 1st VP, District President, Connectional Research and Status of Black Women, Connectional 1st VP and now President. She has traveled extensively throughout the AMEC Connection, boding with sisters of the African Diaspora.
Selerya Moore, President
Second Episcopal District
Sister Selerya is a fourth-generation member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, who grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the Eight Episcopal District. She is currently a member of Turner Memorial A.M.E. Church, Hyattsville, Maryland. Sister Selerya serves as the Pro Tem of the Steward Board, Class Leader, Director of Lay Activities, and the coordinator and an instructor for the New Members’/Disciples’ classes.


Renee Brooks, President
Washington Conference Branch
Sister Renee Brooks is an active member of Reid Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church in Glenn Dale, MD. On May 4, 2023, she was elected President of the Washington Conference Branch (WCB) Women’s Missionary Society (WMS) of the African Methodist Episcopal Church having oversight of over 80 churches in the Washington DC, Virginia, Baltimore and Western Maryland.
